Hey hey friends! It’s been a minute. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite knit set Zara finds. I am loving anything knit at the moment and have been during the cooler months. There’s just something so cozy about pulling on a pair of knit stretchy pants in 2022, what can I say?
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
The Nordstrom anniversary sale is here and this year I am practicing some restraint!

I love a good statement top. As someone who lives in denim I always have my eye out for stand out tops to elevate my jeans. I found this puff sleeve, open back top by Free People and knew it would be a great piece to pair with a laid back pair of jeans. I’m also just really drawn to open back tops right now.
There’s just something eye catching about an open back top for me. Maybe because it’s a little unexpected. I’ve always thought there was something more alluring about an open top back versus say a deep cut v top.

Spring has sprung and I have found my spirit dress!
If you are looking for something unique you can always count on Free People, their dresses are my total weakness. I pulled this amazing maxi dress off the rack and knew I wanted to make it work.

Ribbed knits are my jam right now. They really fit into this year’s theme of being cozy in what we wear. I have been gravitating toward simple cuts and solid colors for a more streamlined look, which for me, is a practice in restraint because I tend towards bright colors and pattern. However, this season I am leaning to more neutrals and finding it easier to mix and match things in my closet when I have a good base of neutrals, go figure!
Combat boots. Thoughts? They’re obviously very popular right now and you can find them in so many styles. Brings me back to my Doc Martens days when I’d pair my boots with dresses all the time. I wanted to try combat boots again but I wasn’t so sure about how chunky of a sole I wanted. I’m 5′ 3″ and felt like a bigger sole wouldn’t work on me. I found this pair from LINEA Paolo and love them! The sole is not too chunky but the mock croc detail gives them that bit of edge I was looking for. I plan on pairing these boots with dresses and midi/maxi skirts for fall and winter.
This dress is Abercrombie and I’m wearing a small, I couldn’t find it online anymore but there are so many good options out there, linked some others below.

How to Get an Easy Bronze Glow
AD Happy fall everyone. If you’ve been following me here or on Instagram @christielovesflora you know that I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to makeup. I don’t usually gravitate towards a full face of makeup because I’m usually on the go and I don’t really like the feel of lots of products on my face, which is why I was so excited to find this mini makeup set by treStique. As you can see, the set comes in a small case with mirror and has all your essentials for a quick bronzey look.
The set includes a lip shade, highlighter, bronzer and blush. I’ve been using the bronzer both on my cheeks and on my eyelids, I like that you can multitask with one product. This set is perfect for the girl who wants a bit of color but doesn’t want to spend a lot of time in front of the mirror. Everything is super easy to apply and is buildable to bring out more pigment.
I’ll link one of their mini kits below, but also head to www.trestique.com for quick tutorials on a 5 minute face.

Little White Dress
Everyone needs at least a few Little White Dresses in their closet. These were from the summer but I adore both and wanted to share. The first dress is BCBG, so sad they had to close their doors due to the pandemic. I’ve always loved their whimsical styles and this dress is no different. I love the apron style and embroidery up top.
The second dress is an easy breezy one shoulder style from Free People, which is always my go to for summer dresses. I may be able to update this dress and style it for fall with a cute combat boot and cardigan, I’ll be sure to share when I do.
This week is supposed to be hot again in San Diego! Temps should be dropping next week though and I plan on sharing more fall looks, thanks for being here! xo

Wearing a Yellow Dress
Hello! We are slowly coming into Fall in San Diego. I never got around to posting this dress during the summer but thought it was worth a share. (I just checked and the dress is available in limited sizes at Target)
Yellow can be a tough color to wear. I’m certain I’ve shared before that Mike isn’t a huge fan of yellow, but that’s ok, I love the color and you can find it in so many hues. This midi is actually a seersucker style dress, I love the bow tie sleeves and the fun ruffle up top. The slit in the back allows it to move. The style doesn’t really lend itself to fall because the shade is too fair and the fabric is thin, but wanted to share because I’m always on the hunt for dresses, no matter the season. Thanks for reading and being here! xo

Jeans and Elevated Tees
Easy elevated basics get me through chillier summer nights in San Diego. Anytime you’re near the water in San Diego it tends to be cooler unless we’re having a heatwave, so I tend to opt for jeans and an elevated tee if we’re out for a walk or scooter ride.

Hello! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite easy breezy dresses for spring that will take you into summer and beyond. Even though we’re mainly confined at home I still like to dress it up on the patio come Friday. These photos were taken at the neighbors house, a couple doors down.
